11pm isn’t the worst start time imo.

UEFA never really do anything for the right reasons, they’re political all the way down. It’s not like Madrid got the CL final because the whole organisation had a fit of the conscience and swore by the Path of Light over Darkness. Everyone is deadly silent about how problematic the processes for awarding finals are when they result in something convenient for Western Europeans.

I feel obliged to support Portsmouth, but this incident involving their fans supposedly punching a Sunderland player who fell into the stands has soured me on them somewhat.

Forgot to post pre-match about how much I hoped that City would smash Watford to bits. Can't stand scrappy cup finals where the favourites play poorly on the way to a 1 or 2 goal scrappy win while the commentators drone on about the magic of the cup.

Rooting for City just for the history of the treble. Rather baffling that the BBC don’t seem able to prove conclusively who scored the second goal.

So were we.

Still a sore spot that semi final tbh.

First leg, we are 3-0 up and they get a free kick that shouldn’t have been in injury time. Of course they scored from it. Ref phoned John King to apologise the next day.

Second leg, Bosnich fouls Aldo as he’s rounding him. Red card in anyone’s money but the ref, who had screwed us in the play offs the year before, bottles it. And of course who winds up the hero....

Anyway. Not bitter, promise.
