I don't know why, when there's 2 sides who are on for the 2nd and 3rd highest points tally of all time (certainly in the Premier League, possibly ever), but it just hasn't felt like a classic title race.

There haven't really been any twists and turns since Liverpool stopped dropping points a couple of months ago, though. Both teams have come close-ish to dropping points, but they haven't. A classic title race doesn't have both teams just winning every week, IMO, as nothing changes.

It's because like I have said all along. It has been obvious since the very off that City would win. It has never been in doubt.

The ideal scenario would be for Anfield to be all hyped up in expectation and for City to then be 3-0 up in 20 minutes. Or perhaps City winning in a similar way to the way they did against QPR. United had won the title so often that it wasn't as funny as it would be to deny Liverpool.

Both teams have been amazing in the way they have dealt with pressure.

On one hand, Liverpool have built their team (relatively) organically, proved near impossible to beat, and shown great resilience to score numerous late winners. Then again, City have had to cope with going all the way in both domestic cups, got knocked out by a hair's breadth in the CL and have still managed to chase down and keep pace with Liverpool. Will be incredibly harsh on whoever falls short.

What do you mean by this exactly?

Liverpool have two academy players in their squad, of which one plays with regularity. They've spent over 400 million in 3 seasons. Barca paying 3x what Coutinho was worth doesn't turn their spending into organic building.

The only club in the top 6 who's got an argument for having been built "organically" is Tottenham, and that's only because Levy is a tightarse.

I broadly agree, but you're exaggerating the Liverpool spending figure quite significantly. In the past five years, Liverpool's net spend was £-193.58m. That's fifth of the top six and less than half what City and United spent in that time.

I'm not talking about net spend. Net spend isnt particularly relevant in this, especially when you sold one player for 135m and he wasn't in any way a homegrown player.

The fact is that they've spent 435m on buying new players in the last 3 seasons. It's a similar amount to Chelsea and behind only United and City.

Liverpool have spent ****ing loads lol.

They've spent really well, but to suggest they haven't been throwing the cash about is nonsense.
