Fair play to Corky, no sighters needed today.

I actually sniggered at Saj's last over too; 22 off it! Staggering to think he went to the world cup, really.

Lancashire doing their best to stuff up the chase here. There have been several mix-ups in the running in the last few overs alone, to which Northants' reply each time has been to drop the ball. Horton and Croft have joined the party by donating their wickets rather charitably, van der Wath responded by letting one through his legs on the boundary.

The biggest beneficiary of all this charitable goodwill has been Alex Wakeley, who has outperformed the three other offies on show today (Murali, Hodge, Brown), by some way. He's supposedly a batsman too, apparently.
Alex Wakely is primarily a batsmen. I know this as he's the nephew of a poster on the Exeter City fans' forum. Wakely is a fairly common cricketing surname down here!

Is it me or is it worrying as an englishman that we saw 4 Seamers/All rounders and the most promising with the ball and bat were Cork and Chappell, not Smith and Mahmood

Kent making good progress this morning - Stevens making 87 off 84 balls before being lbw to Rashid. Denly is impressing again, currently on 98*

Good to see Neil in Kent's four day squad, played last week and was rather unfortunate to miss out on a ton. Hope he does well.

This is Kyle Hogg you're talking about?. His run up really suggests early 70s tbh.
Indeed and he bowls at a reasonably decent lick considering it.

Don't know why Kyle Hogg is so universally disliked, his record in one day cricket is decent and combined with his batting and fielding his a darn sight better option to Lancashire than the likes of Sajid Mahmood, who can not be trusted with new or old ball.

Denly's now 111* :)

Stevens didn't hang around did he? Hopefully Kent looking to declare to try and force a result.

Nobody said they disliked him...he's just not that good a bowler which is true. He might be good in a few years time but at present he's just not up to it tbh.
