Sounds like a marvellous innings from Latham. He's on his way to being our greatest ever opener if he keeps this up.

It's a real thing but can see it becoming disproportionately covered. Tbf a lot of people love dissecting that stuff regardless of the player. I think it's not helped by the fact Archer has a really relaxed action even when he's bowling well/quickly. It never really looks like he's bowling effort balls.

Reminds me a bit of Mesut Özil.
i usually don't give a toss about it his is just particularly bad, plus he's barely scarping late 130s atm. Dude doesn't know how to bowl from behind. A real reverse Wagner.

Well played Tom.

England have absolutely fed him. Reckon it's been his easiest hundred by a long shot. leg stump half volleys galore.

It's a pity it looks like the rain might roll in this afternoon. England are so far behind the over rate that Root would've had to bowl a lot of overs in the evening session to get England through 36 by the close.

Root bowling, Stokes not fit, Archer bowling 130 KPH and Curran's floaty half volleys didn't bold well for the post-tea session. Thought Broad bowled ok upfront, but he averages close to 40 in the past 3 years away from home. He isn't going for many here, but you expect more than 2 wickets a game.

Day called early. Latham the first NZer to score 5 hundreds in 10 innings, an impressive - albeit meaningless - feat.

Disastrous day for England after sending NZ in. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of blokes.

Stokes clearly a long way from 100%. Not sure how much more bowling he'll do in this game.

Caught up with the highlights, quality inning by Latham. That said about 60%+ runs on the leg side. Did England bowlers bowl all right, was there much in the pitch? Ross' LBW looked out but hey you also get given out wrongly at times so it evens out. Disappointed Woakes got King Kane out. Haven't watched him bat all day now for sometime. Big one around the corner surely. Although the score looks quite good sent in to bat still plenty of work needs to be done tomorrow.

Jeet Raval played a lose shot, the low scores may be on his mind. He just needs to bat as long as he can, he's certainly got to put away cover drives against this England side. They move the ball a bit also tall bowlers so get more bounce.
