Yeah Taylor isn't the same player he once was and he doesn't have the ability to accelerate. Latham is a tapper who barely ever goes for shots and De Grandhomme is one of the most inconsistent players in all of cricket.

NZ success is completely predicated on their top order.

Taylor is so damned good at ODIs these days.

Everything in Latham's favour with the spinners on for a lot of his innings and the slower pitch, but it's still good to see him cash in. Should be a good confidence booster.

Looking like lower order hitting or lack of might not be much of an issue at this rate, but Nicholls is capable too.

That's what I mean. We have one bloke capable of blasting 50 off 30 and he's bloody inconsistent. As I speak these two seem to have kicked it up a gear anyway

I rate him but I'm yet to see him hit a clean six in front of square. Seems to mi**** an awful lot.

I'd be blooding in Chapman in his place now, while we still have time before the WC. Feels like he'll be waste of a spot for the WC and it's only after it we'll realize he's not an international level cricketer.
