What a mega choke by Middlesex they need 12 runs of 12 balls with 7 wickets in hand
I know Middlesex are skint but I don't understand why they haven't filled their second overseas place when getting hammered in cc and blast. There are plenty of decent options who are in club cricket so would be inexpensive, just look at what Usama Mir did for Worcestershire?

Why is Rashid not playing in the game that starts in half an hour? I guess Brook, Bairstow, Root are resting from their exertions yesterday.

Lancashire still imploding. Did Buttler not want the captaincy, why give it to Livingstone?
I wouldn't give it to Livingstone. Doubt he has had any captaincy experience. Two 4s in 30 balls s/r 113.33

Livingstone was the Lancashire's club captain in 2018. He was appointed T20 captain for the club when he returned from the IPL as Jennings the club captain is injured. Just nobody understands why the hierarchy at the club did that.

Maharaj was due to come but got injured in March. They had money to sign him. I guess they cancel his contract once they knew he wasn't able to play so no idea why we didn't use the money aside for him to get somebody else.
Unless they do still have to pay Maharaj which would be typically stupid of middlesex.

Can we stop this now? Sussex's campaign was summed up in the opening match when their two overseas 'stars' ran into each other in the field. They've been about as good as the sides they've selected can be. Funny to think Garton was on England's radar and got an IPL contract, he's a million miles from that now. Half the team are just Championship players selected for T20, probably warming up for the Royal London I guess when they might have a chance.

Im a bit confused by how they've used mcandrew, NGL. Really should be batting a spot or two higher in both FC and t20 and acting as a 5th bowler. He worked as a specialist bowler in the FC stuff but he was never gonna work their in t20. Never shown a glimpse of being good enough with the ball in AUS Whiteball to play on that alone.

Maybe him smashing a 10 ball 28 in the last game might get him pushed up the order. But the bowling all round is so average, Shadab Khan has been atrocious. It's a shame they couldn't get Rizwan back because they're desperately missing an opener.

Shadab really has been disappointing. Shame cause he's usually pretty reliable in t20.

Not sure why Middlesex got rid of Sowter but he's been a revelation so far this season for Durham in the Blast.

This isn't even remotely correct. McAndrew has genuinely been South Australia's most reliable FC bowler ever since he came down here, and that is without even factoring in his batting at all. You really are selling him massively short on this one, he is a hell of a lot better than a "5th bowler" there.

Not anywhere near as absurd a take for T20 though, but even then I am not in agreement on the basis that the Sussex pace attack in this blast is kinda crap. First couple of games for him weren't excellent, but he did have a strong last BBL season, still 10 times the cricketer than someone like Crocombe for example will ever be

Didn't realize he took 13 wicket @22 last bbl, NGL. That's my bad. Had his other BBL seasons and the horrorshow last marshcup final at the front of my mind.

Fwiw he is a better red ball bowler than white, but even with that being said I still think he should be in this Sussex side imo

He was pretty rubbish again last night, but he wasn't alone. It was a 200 pitch and the batsmen couldn't even get to 150. This is an abysmal T20 side, but a half decent FC one and I'm looking forward to the return to red ball when McAndrew will come back in to the team. It was a shame we took Smith on for 3 games because we needed a seamer who could take wickets far more than a middle order batsman.
