Is it worth bringing Turner back for another go at international level? Finch is ****ing off soon, Wade and Maxwell doesn't have have long left either , can easily go something like

1.Warner/Smith/Green/M Short
2.Inglis/Smith
3.Marsh/Inglis
4.Inglis/Maxwell if still playing
5.Stoinis
6.Turner
7.David.

Keeps the batting and there's plenty of options to rotate with the bowling between green, short, marsh, stoinis, Turner and David depending on who you pick.
What, the same bloke you were calling a hack the other day?

Seriously though it's not a bad shout, lack of consistency worries me somewhat (especially in a team that already has Stoinis in it) but Turner's best is good enough to get the job done against international bowlers

Also maybe a touch light on bowling that team with only 4 specialists

Turner is definitely one of Australia's most talented cricketers of his generation but he goes through such long troughs where he bats with an absolute toothpick, and his shoulder/neck injuries have made his bowling a non-factor. I was his biggest supporter back in the U19 days but he needs a longer run of success than a few memorable innings to convince me he won't give you ten games in a row for 12 runs some time soon.

Was the captain of the Aus U19 side at the U19 WC recently, I remember reading a few people saying he was notably mature for his age.
I really didn't think his batting would improve so much so fast from that tournament to now. Played a great Shield knock against NSW a couple of months ago too.

CA should make them have two teams like NSW and Vic IMO. Only fair given the continued dominance. ;)
WA already has enough players for a second side. They're playing for rival outfits.
btw - What's with the comments about a player's haircut. Aren't his cricket skills enough?

Pretty handy batting lineup that. Bowling looks patchy though

mocking players for their haircuts is ok imho, if only because that’s a choice on their part

huge credit to the scorchers - especially given they won a way that wasn’t reliant on their usual formula (restrict to about sub 150)
