I would include the catching, particularly ours, in the list of horrors. The disparity between the bowling on show in this test and the batting has been glaring. Both sides have fairly big problems going forward regardless of the outcome of this match.
>insert literally any other active Cricket playing side other than Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Afganistan/IrelandName two current sides who would bat better on this pitch.
Nothing is going to happen anytime soon. They'd need a change in govt.I think it's better for all of our sakes if this ends tonight so we can all move on and let justice take it's course.
Tbf, I have watched the last hour and this has been quality bowling on an extremely difficult pitch.
You know just picking and hitting through the first line doesn’t work on pitches like that, right? You can pick the line and hit through it on roads, you can’t on decks like that. The only current side I think which would make a decent fist of batting consistently well on that pitch is probably NZ, on the back of having 3 or 4 guys who play late.>insert literally any other active Cricket playing side other than Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Afganistan/Ireland
Is there any suggestion since all this was posted yesterday of any action being taken by WICB?Nothing is going to happen anytime soon. They'd need a change in govt.
ok just to be clear I am only talking about West Indies batting, I think Head and Webster batted quite competently in the second inning, but yeah Windies batting is a damn laughing stock, I think just about any team would do better on this wicket, I can see SA guys do well as they are exceptionally well aquainted with variable and uneven bounce. You know just picking and hitting through the first line doesn’t work on pitches like that, right? I think if they believed that then they’d be refusing to talk about him at allIs there any suggestion since all this was posted yesterday of any action being taken by WICB?
I was very interested in the tone the commentators took surrounding his walking off the ground towards the end there. Almost like a valedictory.
