Really? I remember when Warner was moved down for the T20 World Cup a few years back and he barely made a run, remember saying at the time that should never be repeated.

Granted I don't really follow JAMT20Is much, after all these years my defining memory of Warner in the format is still his dayboo way back in the day

Finch moved to 4 or 5 to accomodate Short a couple years ago in a T20 tri series and they all did very well, and won every game

Ben McDermott, Cameron Green, Ashton Turner, Wes Agar, Nathan Ellis and Dan the man have been added to the squad for the WI and BANG tours, squad at 29 now. Inglis still being ignored is insane, but green and Ellis are in there so I'm happy.

With marnus gone think green should start at 4 vs the windies in the odi's. Did well there for wa last marsh cup and his hypothetical cap is far higher then a Moises or short.

Also hope that we see Ellis get a game in t20's, he's an incredible death bowler and would be invaluable at the back end of the innings where weve struggled recently.

Yep. Really should be one of our first picked in T20's, he's the only reliable player that can effectively play a 5/6 hitter role.

Batting Looks really, really thin in both sides, especially the odi Side. Inglis not being added as a backup kind of makes sense now, aus picked there 3 wickies and none of them backed out, if wade/Philippe had called it quits hes probably the first name on the sheet, and benny D has earned a chance just as much as inglis based on circumstances.

No idea, just reported that he's opted out of the tour along with the other guys, only confirmed ones so far are Cummins and Warner, others are only premature media coverage.

Until you've lived travelling bubble to bubble away from family and friends for a good part of 2 years you're not really in a position to complain in this instance

Of course Australia have been doing this on tours before Covid too so not entirely uncalled for.

At what point do we seriously start taking about marnus in the t20I team? He's made 510 runs @50 and a Sr of 135 since the end of the tests vs India in t20's and taken wickets for fun.


Smith has also been having a pretty lean patch in T20 recently, last 2 ipl seasons hes averaged 23 and 25@130 & @110 respectively and in his part 2 t20I series has made 116 runs @18 and a very low sr.

Understand that Smith is a great player, love the guy to pieces, and even with that in mind it's undeniable in that he's been in poor T20 form recently and will be coming into the T20 WC with basically no match time unless we schedule a series between Bangladesh and the t20WC.
