It just astonishes me that Warner, with all his experience and in principle far more knowledge of these conditions than anyone else in the squad, is still getting stuck on the crease. Bat a metre down ffs.

Why on earth have we only picked 1 specialist pacer lmao? India aren't whipping up decks where you need 3 specialist spinners, and there pacers have consistently shown that there's something in it for them if you put the new rock in the right area's or reverse it later on.
Strange decision which may or may not work.

Bowling attack is fine. Can't drop Murphy after the last game. Lyon has to be there for the experience and you really need a left arm spinner

Also Boland took zero wickets in the last game (although he offered control)

Was saying same to a mate earlier

His feet are going nowhere so bat outside the crease

India realise they don’t have to try too hard to get Australia out cheaply, yeah?
I mean you say that but the irony is that the opening pair functioning is the only thing stopping Australia from having an actually quite scary looking top order on paper. Smith and Marnus against a more bedded-in attack with a platform to build on could bat for a looooooong time.

"Opening pair functioning" obviously doing all the heavy lifting in that sentence though
