ndia knew the rules about COVID and deliberately went about getting the virus. That way they could guarantee a winning series. No way that this incident happens if they lost the third test.
Dude, nobody sane would catch covid on purpose.

And Indian players are not vaccinated ? ?

Breaking news : Vaccinated people can also catch covid.
And very very few become ill. Especially not young fit athletes.
In 2020 sporting bodies were required by governments etc to put in place highly strict measures for the privilege of continuing elite sport which involved doing things not allowed for the wider population.

It doesn’t IMO however make sense for those sporting bodies to handicap themselves with measures no longer imposed in the wider population.

is this the future of all cricket? can't play if anyone catches COVID, even if all involved are vaccinated?

If Indian players are not vaccinated then fair enough. Would be surprising if that were the case though.

There is still an issue for the more elderly/less fit (E.g. coaches and other staff), and also partners/kids that are there with the players/staff.

i knew bcci always has others' best interests in heart and couldn't possibly do anything morally repugnant

India and England both are using the same vaccine AstraZeneca.

Till yesterday India had given vaccine to 700 million people.
There is 90% chance players are fully vaccinated.
