I think this has been a thing almost since the start, but sometimes they don't check for both
I dunno there've definitely been several occasions where they check for one and go "**** it, that's enough, let's play". Was there one in the WC,? I don't quite remember.

Yeah in recent months, I've been very sceptical of Hawkeye's predictive path, and specifically for bounce.
Well on first view of where the ball hit the pad i'd have said neither were going over the top. Just beggars belief that Buttler didn't review given the first one and how many wickets we have left.

This is gonna end up going the way of the 3rd test between Eng and Pak a few years back, roll the oppo out for very little first dig, and still manage to collapse to defeat.
