Fair enough then. I was somehow not aware of the 2019/20 tests vs England.Beat England last two tours (2017/18 and 2019/20) and got no WTC credit for it, what more do you want
This is surely the players ' decision and given they'll be paying for quarantine themselves when they eventually return it is likely low risk. What's the probability of the Lord's WTC Final going ahead given Covid? Given Australia pulling out of the South Africa tour, I wonder whether the NZ Government and NZC will say no also in travelling to the UK. Realise it's still 4 months away, but Covid isn't going away anytime soon.
Their vaccine programme is going very well because the vaccines are actually produced in the UK. I think they're currently vaccinating several hundred thousand people a day and 10 million have received their first dose. Not sure if they'll have vaccinated enough people to have achieved herd immunity by June (their target is to have vaccinated half the population by April), and you can't guarantee anything with Coronavirus - we could get a mutant strain between now and then that is resistant to the vaccine. But infection rates in the UK have fallen drastically in the past month (from nearly 70,000 a day to only 13,000 yesterday) so I wouldn't be too worried at this point. The NZers will definitely have stay in quarantine on their return home though. How has the UK gone with their vaccine programme? Lots of people can be vaccinated in those 4 months. Wonder if the NZ players will be at the top of the list for NZ vaccinations (after the border/MIQ workers)
Spark Sport | Help CentreAlso, I guess the English series and the WTC final will be on Spark Sports rather than Sky - or is the WTC final not technically a ECB match but an ICC match and so will be on Sky?
English Cricket moves to Spark Sport with the return of International Cricket (sparknz.co.nz)
Lol **** thatYou'd hope that people that need to travel for business would be on a higher priority.
Not higher than like the elderly or what not but you'd expect them to be able to applyLol **** that
Not that worried about people queue jumping when it gets to vaccinating anyone not deemed high risk honestly. As long as they all get ****ing vaccinated.Nah it's far too easy to rort that system, business "travellers" should be in the same tier as everybody else.
I posted this question on Sparks facebook page, no reply yet...Also, I guess the English series and the WTC final will be on Spark Sports rather than Sky - or is the WTC final not technically a ECB match but an ICC match and so will be on Sky?
