But yes he was a cheat. Important to keep in mind when evaluating the overall utility of a player I think. Especially when comparing them to a non-cheat like Waugh.

I don't disagree, but could you explain your reasoning in greater detail? Particularly regarding why he was horrible.

Yeah forgot it was a close last ball finish though. Pretty sure not what the fixers had schemed up for that game...

EDIT - have a look at that scorecard though... Only 5 boundaries in a 300 chase and he has made 111 in 117... Staying not out and seeing the chase through and ensuring he got the result he wanted. Mark Waugh wishes he had like a fraction of these great skills.
