England's World Cup nightmare is off the pitch as well as on it (msn.com) Apparently very few fans travelled for the event from England and sounds like a good thing to. What gets me is that in this day and age they can't issue electronic tickets that are dowloaded to a phone so you don't have to travel for ages to get one and miss a good chunk of the match. One for the Bengaluru IT hub experts.....
It's bizarre. Almost no one uses paper money any more. Even at tea stalls. And you have to get paper tickets delivered to your doorstep before you can go to watch the match. smh.

Is this a security thing? Virtually all tickets for sports, music etc etc are electronic elsewhere.
