The best thing you can say about that is that the Lions got 80 minutes

The Waratahs are poor and the Lions played down to that level

Think the tahs back row did a number on the Lions tbh, both sides poor with ball security, but Gamble and Leota I thought were pretty excellent all night.

Lions nowhere near their best for sure, but don't think you can really complain about the Tahs performance too much.

Didn’t see it, but was Lions back row missing a bit of X Factor? Pollock comes with risks, but he does things others can only dream of.

I thin kit was more Earl gave away 3-4 silly penalties, and spent most of his time on the wing when the Lions did have the ball, he made a couple goodish runs, but was more noticeable getting in the way/being the point of something breaking down.

Vdf and Beirne were better, but I don't remember any 'moments' form either of them in terms of steals etc, unlike Morgan who was a pest mid week.

Whereas the Tahs backrow seemed to find turnovers at will towards the back end of the 2nd half, particularly Gamble.

Furlong also looked a step behind everything to me, think he was lucky to not be done coming off feet into rucks as he seemed to arrive that .5 seconds too late all the time.

Chessum and Morgan looking like guarantees, number 8 up for grabs,

I have to say that it was a bit disappointing in the 2nd half. Too many loose passes and handling errors at inopportune times. Some good combinations and powerful running in between meaning it was a reasonable amount better than last Saturday.

Should be a good game. My biggest concern (apart from the absolutely terrible jerseys!! - not enough black) is that they've picked too many Aussies in the side.

Comms trying to talk this game up as proper test match but I feel lions should run up the score here against a scratch XV
