Yeah I just put in the other thread that was a classic how to not tackle a big man technique, great reffing to stop it that quickly.

Lions should've had at least one more try but have lost momentum over the second part of that half. Wasteful in the oppo 22 again

Jones coming off this early seems to indicate he's got the 13 next week you'd think, and he just wants a look at Harris/Faz 10/12.

Hard to know what to make of that, really.

Lions looked good but, as ATT correctly points out, it was against a team who do not typically play together and, boy, did it show.

Guess we should move on to the XV. I'll list who I would pick and, where I think Farrell pere will demur I'll add his pick in parenthesis.

1) Genge
2) Sheehan
3) Bealham (Furlong)
4) Itoje
5) McCarthy
6) Chessum
7) Morgan (Van der Flier)
8) Pollock (Conan)
9) Gibson-Park
10) Smith, F (Russell)
11) Lowe
12) Tuipulotu (Aki)
13) Jones (Ringrose, although genuine toss up time here)
14) Hansen
15) Keenan

Better in the second half from the Lions. Both sides played better with the Lions giving themselves a useful defensive run out while being more clinical in attack. Doesn't indicate anything for next week but better than scratching around 80 mins and delivering a donut on the oppo will be a boost

Ringrose out of the first test with concussion.

Jones surely a mortal for 13 now.

Jamie George called up as cover for LCD as well. Big lad was unlucky to miss out in the first place.

Misses the second test v los Pumas now though, which is unfortunate.

According to the leaks, Lions 15:

Keenan, Freeman, Jones, Tuipolutu, Lowe, Russell, Gibson-Park, Genge, Sheehan, Furlong, Itoje, McCarthy, Chessum, Curry, Conan

No Welshman for the first time since 1896. Just the 7 (5) Irishmen in the end.

Who leaks team sheets? Are they even leaks?

My main take on those highlights is that how did we let Leigh Halfpenny pronounce his surname that way, it really should be Hay-p'nknee!

I'm a huge Curry admirer, but if we're looking at current form he's behind Morgan and Van der Flier as the ball scavs go.

Turns out it's Beirne instead of Chessum at 6 with the latter on the bench (which is entirely Irish/English). If Ringrose was fit, you wonder whether there would be more than one Scot in the 15.

I'm quite enjoying the Welsh having a whinge about their lack of involvement, seemingly having forgotten the overly Welsh dominated teams Gatland used to pick.

For the most part they were good teams with good players though. Current Welsh side is shite. Probably the worst 6N side since the first few years after Italy were added.

I mean, it fills one's English heart with the purest joy every day to behold the befuckedness of Welsh rugby, but Morgan does have a pretty strong case to feel a bit aggrieved.

Van der Flier too, as it goes.

Oh yeah, I'm not denying that Morgan is very unlucky not to get selected - Curry probably has the highest ceiling of the 3 (even if he's not currently showing it). I'm just enjoying the Welsh moaning that's come off the back of it.
