John Arlott's final words in commentary, 1980 Lord's Centenary test

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
The man who gave us the legendary epigram about Bob Cunis, whose bowling he described as, "like his name, neither one thing nor the other" - there are them as say it was Alan Gibson said it, and to be fair it would probably be more in keeping with Gibson than Arlott, but my old man always told me he heard it at the time, and that it was definitely JA, with Gibson having a Johnners style fit of the giggles as the others, including JA, simply moved on.

State Vice-Captain
The often quoted version, including in the article that Rob posted is "“Nine runs off the over, 28 Boycott, 15 Gower, 69 for two and after Trevor Bailey it will be Christopher Martin-Jenkins”. Whereas the commentary is "that is the end of the over. 69 for 2 and after Trevor Bailey it will be Christopher Martin-Jenkins"

This clearly seems to be TV commentary. He does not describe the stroke or say where the ball was hit, for instance, as he would have done on radio. So his last words in TMS is something else ?
