Jesse Ryder set to quit NZ for England

I'd absolutely love for him to become Englands best batsman, can you imagine Scaly?

If he did play against us though, it would be at to the detriment of England. I imagine our bowlers would just bounce him out of the park. Can't see him getting too many runs either, Lou Vincents throw vs Jesse Ryder's running.

Interesting observation but I'd have to think it'd be extremely unlikely.

Anyway - so what if he did have? :)
Doesn't matter. Just mean his obsession with cricket is a bit unhealthy (said the guy posting about an obsession with cricket on a cricket forum)

He's done it. He's turned himself into a complete laughing stock. His chances in England are surely shot with a performance like this. Pillock.

I find it funny that people reckon his too fat to play for England, Robert Key.....
Key's case is grossly exaggerated. There have been many, many more unfit players to play for England, and recently, too.

Though the fags don't help in Key's case.

Reckon he should try for Zimbabwe. Given the state of things over there, there's no chance of him gorging on food.

Actualy I have a new idea, put him in the NZ team and lets force some discipline into him. Also, if he axts the idiot while an international, there will be alot more media coverage of it than what he does for Wellington.

What an arrogant tosser he has turned out to be. Amusing considering his very average season for Wellington. He did better with the ball than bat, and he's only the third change bowler at best; I believe this adequately sums up his recent performances with the bat.

NZC should tell him to bugger off!

What a prat.

Would be a shame in a way if he did leave considering his talent, but if he's going to act like that then he can GTFO as far as I'm concerned. Playing cricket for New Zealand is not his divine right.

Can't fathom out why he hasn't turned out for Ireland - it would be a shop window for him if he wants to get into CC. After this episode he might not even get a county contract- I don't know much about the guy but from the writing on this thread the words "waste of talent" come to mind and we've got enough of those here already!

PB has the sense to realise that England and Scotland, as cricket entities, are basically one.
