Now that Vijay Zol has abandoned us, I am claiming Prithvi Shah and Sarfaraz Khan as my choices who are likely to make it big next.

Shah played in England when he was like 14 in the Gloucestershire setup at a decent level.

On the Zol flopping, it's crazy how many prodigies have faltered in India recently. Australia possibly a bit similar tbf.

Who did Australia miss out on because they faltered away after promising starts? They were mostly due to recurring injuries with Cummins, Pattinson, Hastings and the others, no? Not a lot of Indian talent fell away tbh. There is a clear path into the main team now and most of our talent have not got into the India A side yet to push for senior team spots.

Has happened a bit with batsmen. Jordan Silk the most glaring example in recent years.

Shah is about to score his ton on FC debut in a tournament semi-final chasing 250 on day 5. I am definitely claiming him for future likes. **** you Jono.

Anyone want to explain the strange ODI and T20I team selections? Specifically:

- Shikhar Dhawan is in the ODI squad, but not T20I
- Amit Mishra is in the ODI squad, but not T20I
- Umesh Yadav is in the ODI squad, but not T20I
- Suresh Raina is in the T20I squad, but not ODI
- 2 Golden oldies are recalled. Yuvraj for ODIs and Nehra for T20Is

Pretty funny that Yuvraj's being recalled on the back of FC success. Can't recall the last time that happened.

ODI picks are based on Ranji
T20I picks are based on Ranji
Test picks are based on the IPL

Can't see the flaw there tbh

Whatever it takes!!!
ODI side s with the CT in mind, so some short term selections. T20 is more longer term thingy.. Hence trying out others. But do think Shikhar deserves to play both LO formats though.

Some claiming you ****s are doing here. Can't even spell the guy's name correctly. Its Shaw not Shah. I am claiming him by default.

Watched the morning session of the Ranji final.

- Abhishek Nayar has improved his action post loading up. Still atrocious with the run up.
- Berai looks really good when he is playing anything through the off side. Gets rights back to cut and drives when he is near the pitch of the ball. Uncomfortable against in coming deliveries.
- Shardul Thakur is way better than any other Mumbai bowler.
- Parthiv bats exactly like he does in international cricket. Watching him bat it seems unlikely that he can score big on the domestic circuit either.

- Shreyas Iyer dropped the easiest of chances.
- Thakur looks like the only bowler who can take wickets so he is bowled relentlessly from one end. Probably why all decent bowlers morph into medium pace trundlers.

Yeah got lots of time for Shardul. Think he will succeed in international cricket. Would help if he can be decent with the bat and in the field too. Definitely see him playing ODIs before long.
