In terms of pure bowling skill, is Bumrah the greatest you have seen?

there are less ATG bowlers than ATG bats, they are rarer and counteract the superior longevity of bats by superior match impact
So I assume your top 20 should just have ATG bowlers and ARs based on this logic?

Skill wise on par with Wasim. Just that his late release makes his deliveries look 6-7 kph faster to the batsman than what speed guns calculate.

Asif was an excellent bowler, just get this feeling that he was not built for those hard Aussie pitches.

He wouldn't say it if we were talking about ATG bowlers sucking on Viv's **** instead
I absolutely would, why so pissy? I would never use peer reputation to say Viv is above Marshall, most windies cricketers would tell you Viv was the greatest though.

How many ATG bowlers and ATG bats do you have? Are you sure you don’t just have lower standards for ATG bats?

You can extend that same logic for Ambrose > Tendulkar etc
I have Tendulkar clearly above Lara whom I have ~ Ambrose, but again, not an insane take. You have a very bad habit of pretending every take you have is factual and there are big lines seprating elite ATG cricketers.

I reckon about 20 ATG batsman, 12-13 ATG pacers, 3 ATG spinners.
Huh. 12-13 seems low to me since there are a bunch of pacers very tightly bunched for me around that point. But cool. Is the difference between 15-16 and 20 really that big to always pick the bowler?

Nah McGrath was a freak too. He was just subtly brilliant. Bumrah’s skill set is more diverse but McGrath is often undersold because he did less flashy things but did them at a crazy level.
McGrath is a better bowler but If you ask me which skillset is more duplicable in a future bowler, it's him.

No you have a bad habit of giving a criteria for your rankings that is always fungible.

My Criterias are consistent you just can't tolerate the idea of someone being above Sachin not named Sobers or Bradman.
Your criterias are as consistent as your rankings, as in they seem to be vibe dependent.

And I have zero problems with folks ranking McGrath over Sachin. Most of the forum does. I am in regular debate mode, challenging assumptions.
