Someone to put up the video so I can make the final call (trust me, I'm a great umpire)

probably out based on the look of the angle of the bat, but you can't see from that video either way. Looked like he flicked it up and around with his wrists. Gilly hit his for sure, plus pitched outside as previously mentioned.

Cricinfo - "Hauritz to Tendulkar, OUT, tosses it up on middle and gets it to turn in, Tendulkar tries to work it with the turn but the ball clips the pads, it wasn't really adjacent to the stumps but umpire de Silva was convinced. Not a very straightforward lbw"

That list is complete garbage. At least half of those were OUT OUT OUT. You don't get any more PLUMB LBW that that one sited as #6. Middle stump out of the ground. That website that posted that list is is a shocker, bias at its very best. Also the same dismissals are mentioned more than once (McGrath Adelaide 99 etc), so the final tally is all over the place.

Robe, I am sure you have many of the clips.mentioned in the list. I will remove any that are not correct.

But this list puts into perspective the accusation that Sachin gets the benefit of dubious umpiring decisions. I have personally seen at least 20 in the list and can confirm the list is spot on about them. He got three consecutive crappy lbws off dharmasena in a single series. That video is there on youtube as well.

Edit. dont know how to embed youtube videos here. Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp_zV94l2pY

Batsman in getting poor decision shocker.

Sachin has probably had his fair share of let offs as well.

Solution: UDRS.

lol urds wasn't there for 20 years of his career ^^^^

btw why weren't the bad calls from tendulkar's first 6-7 years not included?

and i agree with robelinda that only about half were dubious...

Wait. So a bloke who has played 741 international innings over 22 years has from time to time had poor decisions go against him? I sure hope somebody is thinking of the children right now.

Hey guys, I have an idea!

I'm gonna go through every single international Ricky Ponting innings to find every decision that was somewhat questionable and dubious and make a list to post here. Then I'm going to go through every Brian Lara innings to list every decision that was somewhat questionable or dubious. Then I'll do the same for Steve Waugh. And for good measure, let's throw in Jacques Kallis too. And Mahela Jayawardene.

And then we'll all realise that A. genuine howlers that are beyond debate occur to everyone occasionally and at random, and B. they're a part of cricket and in the era of neutral umpires, screaming bias one way another based on a few howlers is really quite debilitatingly dull and people should just accept that in lieu of a system designed to eliminate them (HINT HINT) they'll keep ****ing happening to everyone.

And then I'm gonna find a ****ing gun and shoot myself in the head because clearly if I've sunk to such depths I have no purpose in life and it would be best if I did everyone a favour and stopped wasting their oxygen.

FMD.
