What ever happened to Adrian Griffith? Surely the most awkward looking batsman ever to play Test Cricket, and one of the worst to come out of West Indies cricket.
clayton lambert beats him to that.
how such a mediocre player with such a pathetic technique managed to score those runs against england i'll never know, maybe it just gives you an idea about how poor england were back then.

Where exactly would he fit in?

6 batsmen - Trescothick, Strauss, Vaughan, Pietersen, Flintoff, Collingwood then a keeper.
putting collingwood down as a certainity is laughable.
and well strauss hasnt exactly set the world alight in his ODI career thus far.

Collingwood and Vaughan aren't that much infront of him
Oh they are.

For one thing Vaughan is captain, for the other Collingwood is a key member of the side.

collingwood is a good bat, he is the only player in the team that plays like he does we need that balance, the ton he scored against sri lanka was a gem.

strauss is no pitersen, he has not really put a foot wrong though, the hundred was quality and that 50he scored against australia given the circumstances was probally better

Saqlain Mushtaq's 'disappearance' is perhaps the most inexplicable out of the lot, from a Pakistani point of view. Here's an example of putting one foot wrong, a single test i think it was, and getting shot for it. Nobody will ever know why Saqlain was sidelined

yet it was over 3 years ago. where was collingwood in SA?
where was collingwood in the natwest series?
where was collingwood in the icc championships?
no hes simply someone who comes in when the going is good, and scores his usual quick 30 odd to finish off the innings. an average of 26(excluding b'desh and zimbabwe) is poor for any player in the world.

he hasnt? hes averaging 33 with the bat, and thats despite batting up the order. he hasnt had a good series since the natwest series last year been dismal for most of it too.he hasnt been a proven failure no, but its laughable to put him down as a certainity in any side.
