Domestic Cricket Draft

Good question. I guess a decent number of people were born in Salisbury, but played for South Africa, yes?
Yeah, if your hard and fast about the rules you cancel a lot of potential players out, who never played for their potential countries for various reasons or in their potential countries for various reasons.

I wonder if such choices should be eligible unless a complaint is made within before the next pick. e.g. if you were born in a particular country which did not exist/play cricket at the time, but played for another country then either country is eligible.

The first country has to have a first class cricket option available in the modern day.

For example, if you were born in Damascus and played cricket for England, that doesn't mean you count as Syrian for this purpose.

If you want to have a rule for overseas players, then you have to have on that can be managed. You can't really have one that is 50/50. Even if it means half the pool of overseas players are gone.

- Basically the player has to have played domestic cricket as local for that country or represented that country in an official ICC match.
- For guys that play under EU rules, unless they have played for that country they come under English as qualiflying
- For guys that play under Kolpax rules, unless they have qualified they play under their orginal countries.

So even though I think it is joke that half the Croatian side play with the same qualifications as Katich. I've play him as Australian.

Somerset up.

Only just realised players that debuted from 1963 onwards can only be selected - oops. Andy Flower (Zimbabwe) - sorry to whoever had planned on selecting him!

I knew he could bat but I never realised he had such an impressive First Class record with the blade. That's awesome.

Nath up, then Kyle with two picks.
