He gained a huge amount of respect in my eyes after his declaration although not the most clever one as he could have made those 72 runs in a Jiffy and increase the lead to 550+.

It was a selfless decision. Kudos to the guy. I can not understand the hate of Australians for him.

Watch yesterday's last session, defy anyone not to enjoy that.

Off topic but who do you find an attractive strokeplayer? Clarke along with Bell and Amla the best around at the present time for me.
Seen most of his innings upto about his last 70 runs or so. He played some fantastic strokes but for whatever reason, and I'm sure what it is myself, his strokeplay just doesn't please as much as some others.

I enjoy watching Amla, Ian Bell is definitely one of the most attractive strokeplayers for me. Would also throw in de Villiers and Kallis and I don't think Sanga is too far behind. These are the ones that immediately spring to mind, Mo Hafeez is also growing on me.

Something about Clarkey's strokeplay that doesn't get me. Admire him as a player, still, but he's not one of the more attractive strokemakers in the game IMO. Prefer a Dravid or a Sanga. Even Ponting tbh.

His image management agency must've probably told him overnight to hang up when close to a few records.....seems to have worked wonders already

I feel there's a more "product of the times" grace to Clarke's batting. He always looks slightly hurried, not exactly an Inzamam or a Waugh Jr. when it comes to time to play strokes, but I love the way his arms move through a full range of motion while driivng.

Good batsman, fit ex-missus, sounds like he's going to cry every time he talks
