If orange is the new colour, I'd be unhappy with it - as with all the other "leftover" colour options, sadly. If we had to go with orange, maybe we should limit the players to those who wouldn't actually mind playing for that colour (I'm guessing most players here wouldn't want to leave their current colour, and that's the main reason they're pushing for the introduction of a colour such as orange - so they can stay Red or Green etc). As I said before, we shouldn't have to be thinking about what the "best of the leftover options are" now that all the good colours are taken. I'd rather see a light and dark blue than orange - far more realistic in cricket team colours, really, but I doubt the Blue team would run with it and "CW Light Blue" sounds crap.
And what if we get another team? Can't we drop the limitations of team-names? CW is expanding - if you want to be able to expand, you have to remove your existing limitations and change he way things are done. Allowing open choice of names will encourage people to be positive about change. I feel like the new team is being given the short straw in all of this colour-picking. Geographical locations is even more limiting in the long run. Make a change that won't need to be changed yet again in the next season or two - make it open-choice for team names. If you still want to be the Reds, so be it. Queensland Reds are a rugby team, but you don't see the super 12 stopping them from picking their own names.
The new team should be given a name that symbolises the power of youth, if possible, as it will be largely new players. Maybe Colts would work well, or something similar. Actually, even if the other teams keep their names, Colts would sound good alongside them. Blacks, Blues, Reds, Greens and Colts.
God this took ages to type with one hand.
