Late congrats to Master Blaster, Neil Pickup and Tom Halsey for passing 200 FC wickets this season.

Just wondering who will be captain for the Black's upcoming game.
With Neil and Myself out of the side due to CW XI duty, do I assume it will be C Buts captaining the Blacks?
The way the Reds went about it was the captain looked at his side, and asked for someone to be appointed on an interim basis.

CRICKET WEB RED 167/3 25.0 overs

CW Black won by 35 runs

Man of the match: Yasa Fayaz

Daily Blast Comment: The phenomenom continues. Yasa Fayaz knocked his name into the nightmares of CW Red players with a devastating onslaught of batting as he and David Kearsley powered Black to an all but unassailable total. Indeed the Reds looked up for the chase with 26 runs from their first 2 overs, but fell away disappointingly in the middle overs and a late onslaught simply was not enough.

Officials say that the game will only be replayed if is has bearing on the final standings at the end of the season. Statistics will be kept for this game.

Indeed, Yasa Fayaz's brilliant maiden hundred seemed to have set Black on the victory path, but some meaningful batting from the openers and Majin kept Green in it and on to eventual victory.

Ian Markus had a bit of luck, but he and Samuel Vimes played the calm second innings hands for a comfortable 7-wicket win from the danger of 11/2. The first innings hero though, was captain Marc. The skipper scored a fine hundred after Dave produced a 4-wicket haul, including his 200th career wicket and helped to keep the Australians in check.

i was all set for a great knock when it started bucketing :(

lol serriously we were batting quite poorly guys, batsmen let the bowlers down, Lord, Rose and timewell bowled superbly to keep the England A batsmen under control.

at the other end of the sclae in terms of match length Marjin batted us to a superb victory. 98 in the first innings batting well with the tail gave us a score which one could call reasonable. 62 in the 2nd innings put the pressure on them and they crumbled. 4 wickets also from you was a super bonus :) Timewell also bowled well in the first innings pickiung up 3 wickets, and in the 2nd Delkap was the star picking up 3 crucial wickets - well supported by the aformentioned marjin and the vice captain:) great to knock them off :)

My 25Smash form continues with my batting average around 160. And with such a gutsy performance from the team it was really good.

But then again the 5 Day title chance for us Blacks seems to be over with a loss overnight. I really thnik we gotta conentrate more of alte i think we have had two 4th innings chases that have been less than 200 or 250 runs and we have failed miserably. If we wanna we a top side we need to be able to cahse those totals with 5 wickets in hand.

Nice game in the five-day - must say I didn't believe our long batting line-up gamble would pay off, but the part-timers got wickets at key times and a well-paced chase from myself and Markus.

Wonderful century from the captain as well - defiant to set up a good first-innings lead :)
