I would put Healy just ahead of Engineer and Marsh. An all time great keeper and okay batsman for time he played in.

There was an interesting chat involving Matt Prior during the commentary on talkSPORT 2 yesterday. He was asked what he thought of the Windies keeper and wasn’t overly complimentary, but added that he himself wasn’t a good keeper when he was first selected and it took him a couple of years of learning his trade in the Test arena before he got up to a decent standard. I would contend that he never got up to a decent standard, but it was interesting to hear him say that.
The likes of Flower, Stewart and Prior should be in a separate “Batsman who were tossed the gloves” thread.

Tbh I don't recall Alec being that bad as a keeper, he wasn't Healy, but don't recall ever watching and thinking he looked out of place.
