I will vote Shaun Pollock and hold my Wasim vote for # 9.
I would have done the same, but it looks like we're outnumbered, so if you can't beat 'em join 'em. Wasim. The great Lancastrian himself.

WHY pollock ?
This team is already tanked with batting...its about time we tanked on the bowling too...Pollock is an excellent ODI bowler but is he really worthy of being in the alltime world XI ?
Lets look forward - we have 3 slots open. 1 will be a spinner ( my choice: Murali- he is significantly better than Warne in ODIs). Garner should be a lock for the other slot.
So that leaves one spot.
Does Pollock merit mention before McGrath,Donald,Waqar, etc. ? I dont think so.
I would personally go with McGrath-Garner-Murali.
Of them, Garner is the best bat, so my vote for #8 is Garner.

i agree with CC it a bit odd picking Pollock since with the batting so long. But dont lets forget or under-rate that quality of good spin bowling in OD cricket. For me both Warne & Murali should make this squad. My last 3 would be Warne, Murali & a toss up between Garner/McGrath/Waqar. So i vote Warne for the #9 spot since he is the best bastman of the lot.

pollock one of the best economy rates in ODI's and is a big hitter down the list

Warne for me, comfortably ahead of Pollock.

Warne was possibly the greatest ever big match player in ODI history, and the performances he put in for the most important matches are legendary. In the 1996 and 1999 world cups, he appeared in both the semi and the final, and won man of the match in 3 of the 4 games.

Even if Murali is picked later, I don't see the problem with having two spinners, especially when Warne can bat a bit.
