Hard to pick between several quicks for the last spot. McGrath, Marshall, Holding, Lillee and Trueman all make a good case, as do some others.

I'll go for Lillee.

Malcolm Marshall. Arguably the greatest ever fast bowler. I feel this side is pretty light on bowling...

Marshall. He could bat too, and as I said, we now have a team that can bat till 11. That's just dominant

8-)

Hadlee was a champion bowler, possibly one of the 5 best ever. He shouldn't be punished just because he can bat. He's not been selected because of his batting ability, that's an extra. Champion bowlers don't have to be bunnies with the bat ala Ambrose or McGrath.
I think he is a great bowler, but there are a lot better bowlers than Hadlee. He just played in a weakened team where he was expected to get the most wickets and probably bowled more overs than most bowlers than.

Warne takes it - 12 votes to Marshall's 10.

Voting for 11 ends in 24 hours.

I'd assume Marshall gets the final place to complete the eleven.

I've been watching this occasionally and what I've felt is that the really interesting thing would be to move on and pick a 2nd Eleven.

Most of the 1st Eleven pick themselves, but there would be much more contention in finding a 2nd Eleven -- probably only Sir Viv and Murali would be the automatic choices who are surprisingly absent from the above team.

Any chance of extending this to a second eleven, and then simming a series between the two?
