The lunatic in me wants Shakur v Haney to see how dull it can be, absolute stinker from haney tonight.
Good solid if unmemorable win from Teo, but ****ing hell Garcia back on the drugs please, tks.
Nobody serious should be losing to Rolly ffs.
What a truly wretched fight that was.And then Canelo entered the chat
Mundine made millions out of local PPVs but iirc he took some financial risk and was a crossover “star”![]()
Goodman v Vaca | No Limit Boxing
Australia's brightest boxing talents, Sam Goodman and Harry Garside, will headline an explosive double header at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on May 14, 2025, promising fans an unforgettable night of world-class boxing.nolimitboxing.com.au
Always fascinated to know do these Aussie PPV's actually sell at home?
50 dollars does seem demented to me IMO.
Ah, I remember going up to Auckland to watch Joe beat the crap out of poor Brian Minto. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Auntie Judith were both in attendance to cheer him on. Simpler times.Aus and NZ local talent are able to exploit the ppv market either with crossover appeal (generally league stars) or by appealing to a particular market segment - e.g. Joseph Parker charged eyewatering prices for ppv and tickets fighting nobodies by appealing to the Samoan and South Auckland community.
I had been thinking the same. I'm not even that high on Huni, but my impression is he's a fairly skilled and athletic operator while Wardley is (and this may be selling him short) a fairly basic but crowd-pleasing action fighter. The odds seem to reflect a perception of "British level" vs "Aussie level" more than anything else.Fabio Wardley has proven me wrong many times over his career but I'm gonna give him another chance to prove me wrong by saying that he gets absolutely schooled and possibly stopped by Justis Huni.
I think this fight is grossly mispriced by the bookies.
Yes Wardley's power and natural fighting instincts are real and there's nowhere that matters more than the heavyweight division, so he will always have an outside shot against anyone he fights.
But at the top level there is only so far that can take you and he's up against someone much faster, much more athletic and with far better boxing skills than him.
If i was a gambling man I'd absolutely put some money on Huni here.
