Worth noting how much Pope has improved with gloves since that NZ game a few years ago when he looked clueless.

By Bairstow over Pope do you mean Bairstow will keep? I suppose it might affect his batting. Also reckon will Pope continue to bat 3? Not like there's many other decent choices.

Pope has done OK since moving to 3, so why not Brook to open? That way we can finally get shot of Crawley and make room for both Bairstow and Foakes.
