Even age_master is still very occasionally seen on CC (and associated forums). And has Goffy returned to these shores now? 'Twas a long time away if so. Tim still posts sometimes as well.

And yes, 2002 is basically like the 1980s in CW terms. Any time you get a thread dug from back then it's like a different World. Duplicate posts, diabolical grammar and punctuation from almost all members, excessive use of smilies (there was no 10-image-per-post limit in those days), quotes without bold typeface, excessive use of CAPS, and wahindiawah and his duplicate-accounts (warrioryohannan is another one BTW).

BTW this thread clearly should have gone in the *Official* England in Australia 2002/03 thread... but that thread was only started an hour or so before the series - and still smashed all previous records to smithereens with its 1000-odd posts. As I say, how things change.

I won't deny that his presence was overbearing at times but he just made the whole place a lot more interesting for mine. His posts always made me think and challenge my own positions, and he always brought up interesting points of discussion.

Followed a lot of the great man's posts during my spying years here. It's a shame he doens't post anymore. Certainly a very opinionated bloke and one of those guys who can add spice to a forum.

Great man's posts? Lol, just because someone comes up with a bunch of nonsensical & illogical theories which fly in the face of reality & which have been proven wrong time & time again, that doesn't makes them 'great'

I think Prince misses him because they have similar posting styles (not necessarily similar theories to be fair on Prince)
