Ganguly scored century against Kenya in WC semi-final (2003 WC ) . Still we consider him minnow-basher at WC .

Maxwell 3 tons are against: SL , NED and AFG . This is right in Ganguly zone who smashed Kenya , SL and Namibia in WC.

Sri Lanka weren't minnows in either of those, neither are Afghanistan now

would have been ok with it if afg were demolished but i was rooting for them after all the wickets they got

heartbreak. they could have qualified for semis

think trott should coach afg as long as possible. great coach it seems

It was heartbreaking especially after they conquered the game and had the game in the bag. Basic errors cost them the match. Now NZ would knock both Afghanistan and Pakistan out.

Regardless of which teams were involved it was a fantastic innings and partnership to win the game from a most unlikely position. I liked to see such a feat pulled off.

Even though Australia winning did us a favour It was still disappointing to see Afghanistan choke so badly when they had the Aussies on the ropes.

It's still been a great WC tournament for them though knocking off England and Pakistan and being competitive in most other games.

They have a mostly young side so they have a lot to look forward to in the future if they can stay on the same trajectory and they are exciting to watch.
