Over the moon with my performance with relatively similar team in ratings:

Ferrell* 33 (76 balls)
Chirwa 1 (12 balls)

Had a nice win against the team coming 2nd. Just need to keep winning and I should get auto promoted to div 2. Hitish's first match this season incidentally (his 5th career game).

New York Champs 9/229 (50.0)
Hitish 5/29 (10), Moodley 1/37 (10)

Roar CC 2/231 (34.5)
Hitish 110* (96), Blatherwick 70* (61), Moodley 33 (37)

MOTM: Hitish.

After last week's Most Annoying Collapse Ever, my lot were somewhat fired-up - they ran through the opposition, dismissing them for 92, and then scored the required runs in 18 overs. Reed top-scored, with Perry out cheaply and McGregor getting 30 or so before heading back to the pavilion.

Unfortunately, my phone was so astounded by the result that it's now crashed. I'll update with match ratings at some point.

Goldarn biscuit-taking James-Blunt-listening bloody singles off the first ball when you've got one batting god and a donkey at the crease!

Augh!

Well, made 230 with defensive orders against decent seamers on a green pitch. Just have to hope my guys can take some early wickets, I s'pose. Could be looking at the first defeat of the season. Janes still without an average on something like 4 innings, 350 runs, 4 not outs.

Stupid swear filter, too... :)

Ended up with 275, all my top 5 contributing but nothing big.

End of Over 3: 9-1, runrate=3.00, reqrunrate=5.68 (275-10)
Summers 2-0-4-1
Watkins* 8 (7 balls)
Mcshane 0 (1 balls)

Dammit!

Reed stranded on 49no at the end.Still, he robbed Gibb (4 wickets, 2 runs) of the MOTM award.

Batting ratings Superb/Proficient, bowling Quality/Exceptional.

I'm quite suprised that it was so easy, given that my opponent had Superb/Resp batting and Remarkable/Prof bowling.

In other news, the team I played last week has set the current league leaders 264/10 - pretty much exactly what they scored against me. Let's see how that one pans out. The 2nd-placed team chased down 95/10 in 20 overs, which'll probably see them take top spot on NRR, if nothing else.

Won quite easier today:

Unpredicable 92 All Out Sisk 6/22(10), Muralitharan 2/7(5)

lost to

Jaffna Jets 1/93 Quintin 43*(36), Ellis 28*(20)

Ratings on TIE:

Top: Respectable
Middle: Competent
Lower: Abysmal
Seam: Competent
Spin: Competent
Fielding Woeful

Very happy with Sisk bowling , his first ever 5-fer. A bit disappointed that i lost a wicket. Also i got 128k for gate receipts, first time over 100k. I sold out everything but covered seats again, so im going to expand once again in 2 weeks, to a 25k stadium.

Summers 10-1-29-2
Sotho* 21 (37 balls)
Duck 17 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcshane lbw b. Summers 13 (FOW: 33/4)

Mcgregor 1 (4 balls)

Oh and that loud creaking sound you might have heard over the past 15 minutes is just Battrick's server.

BARNES OUT
Won reasonably comfortably. Munroe made an 80 ball ton (ended 139*) and Dylan made a run a ball ton (ended 108) to save me from 2 fa 60-odd after 15. Ended up setting 330 and bowling them out for 160-odd with everyone taking at least 1 wicket.

In the "featured match" of my division, Inter Yerma vs. Sherwood sodding CCC (my nemesis from last week), Yerma have fallen to 235/5 off 45, chasing 264. Singh's instigated the collapse (rather than Fredericks, who did for me), and it seems that the specialist batsmen have gone.

Fredericks is back now, and it looks as though Sherwood have done it twice in a row!

UPDATE: Yup, 2 wickets in Fredericks's first over, then two more in his second, and Yerma are 240/9 with 13 balls left. The first 90 overs of this match went very similarly to mine last week, with the only difference being that the collapse started earlier.
