If you remove title, he will be an M and a P. MAK Pataudi or Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. Cricinfo and Wikipedia show the names differently interestingly:

Nawab of Pataudi - Check Pataudi's News, Career, Age, Rankings, Stats | ESPNcricinfo.com
Well, no, because we're going strictly by Cricinfo names. So if we were to remove the title it would surely end up being just Pataudi (I'm assuming Nawab is a title like "prince of england").

The M would surely not come into play as it's not on his Cricinfo profile.

Sorry, that probably came across more aggressive than I intended. As I said, if people as a whole think that the whole title rule should ultimately render him unpickable, I'm happy to abide by that. But yeah, it is certainly a weird one as Red Hill said - since his Cricinfo name is basically one long title.

"Of" is a conjunction. He is known as Nawab of Pataudi on his cricinfo profile. Nawab essentially means viceroy, and Pataudi is a family name. Nawab and Pataudi are proper nouns when you use his name in the way cricinfo does, so N and P should be the letters used, imo.

So I am going to cheat a bit and make Richie open the batting; he has done that a fair few times in his career. That allows me to pick Greg Chappell to complete a truly awesome middle order.

Azhar Ali
Richie Richardson
Jacques Kallis [5]
Greg Chappell *
Mohammed Yousuf
Everton Weekes
Ian Healy +
Vernon Philander [3]
Derek Underwood [4]
Fred Trueman [1]
Sydney Barnes [2]

Unused letters: L,N,O,Q,X,Z

That's a damn good team, especially considering I thought I was going to give up mid-way. I could have done better if I was not playing from memory and instead searching players through Google/Cricinfo. I started researching only in R9 after I lost Alistair Cook.

I normally try to sacrifice ATGs and just aim for 11 ATVGs to avoid passengers. Here I had to pick up a few unproven players with short test careers but it let me have a bunch of bonafide ATGs
