Once again, CW members vote for Victor Trumper as an opener. He may have played the majority of his innings as an opener but he was far more effective in the middle order.
Consider these stats.
Trumper's average when opening: 33.00
Trumper's average when batting 3-6: 53.07
Having him open in the ATG World B Team is a travesty - particularly partnering a player whose opening average was also in the low 30s.

So he was a delight to watch. I'm not arguing with that. I just like to point out that he was far better as a middle order player than as an opener - as his record bears testimony.
