Really think Waugh should be at 6. Then we’ve got 3 blokes to share as the 5th option depending on the pitch and batsmen (Chappell, Root, Waugh) and great batting all the way down there.

Think the spinner spot could generate many variable votes.

Grimmett, Verity, Laker, Tayfield, Ashwin

Not sure there has ever been super clear consensus on these blokes for number 4 spinner of all time and all are good options.

Ashwin might be the best selection for this particular team if people plan to select Garner (for his batting) as first change.

Agree. If Simpson is picked as he should be, that then gives an even better 5th option.

Don't think 3 people sharing the 5th bowling spot is a good idea, especially those 3.
More on that below.

Gibbs should very much be in that group of spinners in contention for 4th. He featured in quite a few All Time teams before Warne and Murali emerged.

Yeah Simpson is a good option, so is Barlow, one of those 3 way players like Simpson, Hammond, Sobers and Kallis.

Another option would be Worrell, the best remaining bat of the all round options and bring the addition of captaincy instead.
