Really could have any number of batsmen open for the second XI. I went with Jayasuria who also gives a decent bowling option which lets us lengthen the tail (especially if we pick Synonds at 5) and Lara who was fantastic as an opener (Hayden, Waugh, Watson, Amla, Greenidge, Haynes all unlucky).
