5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

SkyBlue

International 12th Man
Same thing happened at Edgbaston in 2022

They were 111-3 or something and ended up chasing 378. Brook this time playing a Bairstow-esque innings

Just have no confidence we'll defend this. Too much mental midgetry from this team in crucial moments of the game.

That pitch was an absolute road

Brook clubbing 27 runs off the last 9 balls he's faced.

With this partnership rapidly ticking along England can bat at 2.9 an over from here until the end of the day & have enough time to win it on Day 4.

However, how long until Harry plays a 'one-too-many' type shot & they're staring down the barrel again.

Really no need to just throw wickets away.

I'll counter you by saying that if they bat "normally", they could easily allow the bowlers to settle on that spot where the pitch has been showing inconsistencies in movement and bounce and in that case, it'll be a matter of time before they get one that shoots through on middle stump. So their best option is to hit the bowlers off that spot.
