As I said before he has transformed himself from a flashy test opener to a gritty no.4 test captain, he is an upgrade on Kohli from his last few years.

Gill is playing it brilliantly but a new batsman will find it really hard to start, especially a right hander.

Flat pitches yes, but this is still one of the best series performances ever by a touring bat. People just don't score this many runs here. Coming of age tour for him.
