He'll do better on bouncy Australian and SA pitches imo

Infact all English bowlers bar Woakes are more suited to Australian conditions given their natural length is hit the deck
This is a myth - look at the touring bowlers who have done well in the last decade in Aus and most of them have actually been skiddy bowlers who attack the stumps at pace; one big reason why India have done so well there

Him being able to get it out of the way is a big deal! Means he can open his stance up and hit with power. I thought it would be full Maxwell and he'd just have to stand there and swing without moving his feet at all.
Muscle injuries are different. Even if your pain threshold is as high as the burj khalifa you physically just can't move.

I hesitate to comment on **** cricinfo comments because we'd be here all day if so but I can't let this one slip by:

Pete: "I was there in the sparse MCG crowd hoping Australia could knock over Smith and South Africa as they reeled in the target. Everyone went home deeply moved by his courage, not least the Australian bowlers who dutifully tried their utmost to get him out more cheaply."
I'm actually impressed in how many wrong things this guy managed to pack in two sentences.

For some reason, I get Brisbane vibes from this game.

Odds stacked against India. England haven't played particularly well when the game is in their grasp.

A good new ball spell from the Indian bowlers and this could get real interesting.

England still firm favorites though but just wouldn't write off India in this situation when they're clear underdogs given the circumstances.

With the amount of movement that's been on show for most of the game so far, 350 is a total Bumrah et al would be very happy to bowl at, so I don't see why England are favourites at all
