Sobers doesn't have a clear cut case for best all rounder

I know that but to say he is not in the league of WG or the DOn when the Don himself consdiers Sobers to be the best is just wrong period. (IMO)

I certainly don't think he's in the same league as the Don. No one is. But this isn't necessarily a bad thing

Its impossible to rate cricketers of different era's.unless somebody has seen it all.

As a batsamn no But as an overall cricketer I think he is in the same league. And Im not the one insinuating that. All u have to do is to ask the likes of : The Don himself, Keith Miller, G Chappell etc What they thought of Sobers the cricketer

Best all-rounder of all time? Sobers' name being chucked around quite liberally here. But how about WG Grace? He has a strong case for being one of the two greatest batsmen of all time. And these are his career FC bowling stats:

2809 wickets @18.14
Best bowling (innings) 10/49
240 x 5 wicket hauls
64 x 10 wicket hauls

ps All such stats need to be seen in their historical context, but pretty bloody impressive all the same
