2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

India wont know what's hit them today, Win the Toss and Bat and India will not score more than 250 as Chris Woakes will be swinging it well, Bowl first and without Bumrah and the scars of the final day of the 1st test we will get around 500 and India will not have the tools required to go and win this test match

Sit back and enjoy as England will certainly go 2-0 up

I thought Reddy was pretty decent in Aus imo and should have been bowled more by the captain tbh. Seemed fine for a few overs to me.
I don't see how a quality wrist spinner can be useless on the pitches we've seen all throughout the last few months in county cricket. With how dry the weather has been, there's no way Kuldeep doesn't get something out of this pitch
He bowled 44 overs across 5 Tests/9 innings. You can say he could've bowled more but he got 5 wickets only @38 on good bowling pitches across all the Tests while going at over 4 RPO. I've not seen anything that suggests he's going to be better than Shardul on average and so I'm always confused by people who want him as part of the 5 Indian bowling options/4 pace options.

Yeah, I agree with you about Kuldeep, but that doesn't mean that Reddy has to come in with him. Jadeja still offers more balance than Reddy even though there's been a bit of a decline and that English conditions don't suit his bowling for large parts of the games.

No Bumrah. Love to see it. Reddy, Sundar and Deep play for India. Surprised to see Bumrah and Kuldeep miss out. Sudharsan misses out too, which seems a tad harsh.

Whatever it takes!!!
England won the toss and are bowling.

For India, its confirmed that Sundar is playing for one of the batters, guessing its Sai Suds. So, no Kuldeep. :(

This game is a goner, me thinks.

Woakes in these conditions is gonna be a nightmare. I wish we make more than 350, but I fear we will be all out for less than 200 today.

Edgbaston has been a complete road this season.

So we're going to have to hope there's something there for the bowlers early on.

Otherwise might be another long slog with the attack we have.

With Ravi here, surprised Arshdeep's not played. The rough he could have created for India's spinners could have been deadly. Sundar and Jadeja but no Kuldeep is bizarre too. Without Bumrah, he could have been the one to offer a point of difference.

India's refusing to select Kuldeep because Sundar can bat better is the addled-brained logic that I traditionally associate with their opponents. The extra runs simply aren't worth the lost wickets.
