It worked out OK for England bowling first in the last test but that is because India let them off the hook batting first, Gill isn't letting them off the hook.

I've been following Kamboj for some time in FC too and I'm very positive on him. As @honestbharani also mentioned bowlers are going too much for the special ball rather than maintaining a line n length. But that's exactly what Kamboj does, that's his usp. He's extremely accurate despite his limited FC experience. Both the FC record and eye test support him and he also showed that in the tour game. With the extremely low competition at the top level, I don't think even if we hurry his debut a bit, it would be the worst thing because his floor level is quite high imo. He doesn't feed those hit me balls too often.

He can also bat pretty well, which we badly need, lol.
