I think in games like this everyone tends to lay into the losers.

Obv getting thrashed is embarrasing but it can happen in t20 cricket even between evenly matched teams (ENg v Aus in last t20 wc for instance. Australia thrashed and yet won the tournament albeit with help from winning every other toss in the tournament https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...26th-match-group-1-1273737/live-cricket-score).

Hales and Buttler out early and England probably lose by 30.

You gotta credit Buttler and Hales, rather than being too critical of India imo. Semifinals you get a decent score on the board (as India did) and it wins more times than not. Really good by Hales today - didn't think he had that quality left in the reserves having been out of international cricket for a while and not playing much in high level domestic t20 competitions.
Nah, you’ve got to bag the losers every time. It’s one of life’s joys.

Everyone is criticizing India but they actually did really well to get to the semis with the talent they have. They got very lucky against Bangladesh with the rain, barely scraped past Pakistan, and were badly exposed by South Africa. They are an ordinary T20 side who probably didn’t deserve to get past the group stage. England are just in a completely different league.

I'm thinking India totally bottled it.....didn't want to risk losing to Pakistan in the final.

Nope. Because there are issues at both ends of that lineup. You can't expect middle order to get the team out of a 55-60/2 in 10 overs situation all the time.
India aren't at the 55-60/2 point every time at 10 overs, are they though? Since the 2016 WC they have THE BEST t20I powerplay run rate in the world, better than England. England just bowled better today.

Equal blame to batters and bowlers IMO. If you're 60 after 10 you're never going to bat the opposition out of the game. If England had batted first they'd have made 220.
Thats completely fair. I'm just sick a d tired of Indian fans going ape**** on the batsmen when their bowlers also need to stand up aswell. This was a 170-par deck, don't think anyone bar @chris.hinton thought England would come anywhere close to chasing this down with all wickets in hand and 4 overs to go at the halfway point.

This concerns me, though. India came into this WC touting this "more agro in the PP" approach, which had shown in their bilateral results, but it just didn't carry over to their game this tournament. This t20WC has been far more new ball friendly then we expected cause of conditions and the reinforced Seam on the ball, but still disappointing. You can't come out of the PP 36/1-2 every game and hope for your bowlers to bail you out, especially when your a batting focused team like India and don't have bumrah.

This match brought back memories of Indias famed trundlers of past being smacked around by every other team.

Passion for cricket is not that high how. People will abuse for 2-3 days and get on with their life.
However what you say May happen next year if say India gets eliminated in a knockout game at ODI WC at home next year
