The only time Warne was any good was when he had to explain his famous painting on-air.

If India wanna get funky, we can get in Sundar to open for either Agarwal or Dhawan and have a 6th bowling option that way. Else, we can also bring in Thakur and Sundar to bat 8 and 9 and just do away with wrist spin. This gives us the option of using Sundar with the new ball too and he might be able to get the openers in some trouble.
Think Sundar over Chahal as 5th bowler is a good option by itself at this stage. Whatever batting he offered would be a significant improvement too.

For perspective, Australia were 0-100 after 19 overs in first ODI...they are already 0-93 off 14
Pulled it back a little. This is where not having a Kedar Jadhav-type troll is really hurting us. Our limited overs success has been based off having three slow guys turning their arms over in no time.

Whatever it takes!!!
I thought Nitish Rana would be a guy who can play that role but we seem averse to try anyone these days apart from obvious picks and run and wickets toppers from IPL and other domestic stuff.

Happy that childhood hero Paul Reiffel's an elite umpire but I would've loved to see what he offered in the commentary box too. Imagine he would've been insouciant and quick on the draw like AB.

Decent start but a disappointing end. India deserved that after a good last few overs

Really need to be on our toes here. Smith for all his brilliance looked vulnerable early in his stay last time out. Jadeja had him in something resembling a knot and Shami made him lose his shape a few times too. That he found a way to get through that phase at a fair clip is his forte obviously, but there's something to work with there.

Jaddu often creates trouble for Smith. We just often drop him or he finds ways to stay put then and smashes the others.

He does seem more intent to play shots in the LO formats these days, which is a double edged sword but at least it opens up some more chances to get him out than usual.

Sometimes the smart single is better than trying to do the "hurr intent" two
