NRR comes before h2h. Number of wins comes before both but that will not be the case here.

3 way ties anyway can't be settled with h2h when each have won one and lost one amongst themselves.

Think Pakistan and West Indies would just take being in the knockout stages and sod who they play as both could yet go out. Same as how England or Bangladesh view it in the other group.

if aus beat lanka, pak is next
if lanka wins, pak/lanka qf, and aus will take on the might of AB

better for aussies to beat sl, pak is way easier than saf in a knockout, esp with AB

Pak had NOT defeated SA in WC's till today. This means in Semi final or final --> Zaroor Phorrain Gey

Happy to see Pakistan doing well. Specially happy for Misbah after all the stick he has got from their senior cricket pundits. Pakistan needed this. They have got a good bowling attack. If the batsmen can get some confidence back and support Misbah and build up good totals, their bowling unit will be ready to defend it. Inclusion of Sarfaraz is a great step which i thought they should have done earlier. All in all good game. Sad for AB, but there has to be a loser.

Here's the points table now & the way I see it is the Windies can only get to 6 points & probably get their NRR just into positive territory at best if they get a huge win over UAE.

Pakistan can cement 3rd by winning against Ireland and getting to 8 points..If they lose to Ireland, it will be a battle between the two sides NRR which Pakistan are currently ahead (-0.19) vs Ireland's (-1.13) and India are likely to damage Ireland's NRR further.

So yeah, India beating Ireland and Pakistan losing to Ireland would mean a NZ/Pak quarter. (assuming WI beat UAE comfortably).

Interesting for Pakistan whether they want to play Australia by beating Ireland or NZ by losing the game and still going through on NRR.

Could Pakistan gamble on the WI NRR not going up too much though, could thrash UAE and get through via the backdoor. So many equations, great group thanks to Ireland.

I think Pakistan should be through even if they lose that game i think as their net run rate is better.
