2024 Ranking of Bowlers Poll

Time to count the votes for places 16 - 18.
We actually have a tie so I'm using a different countback system, Often the 3 votes are counted (in this case they are equal) but I'm giving it to the player who most members have voted for. In this case Lindwall just edges out Waqar Younis with Holding taking the third spot. This sees Waqar jumping ahead of Holding on the 2022 poll.
26 - Lindwall, Waqar Younis; 24 - Holding; 19 - Ashwin; 18 - Davidson; 5 - Cummins; 4 - Laker; 2 - Adcock, Kumble, Verity;
1 - Jadeja, Philander.
Good to see a few current players polling as well as more spinners beginning to appear.
As @Red_Ink_Squid pointed out, it's getting harder to separate players at this stage. I introduced the 3,2,1 system as I realised it was going to be hard to separate highly ranked players when voters were simply giving 3 names (eg Marshall and McGrath would probably appear on nearly every voters' top 3). However, we are at a stage where it might be easier for all concerned to simply nominate the next 3 bowlers you would have on the list (ie revert to a simple vote count). Any objections can be lodged on the recently opened debate site to discuss this poll. I can then consider continuing 3,2,1
Voting for positions 19-21 is now open.

Pollock got 9 points in the previous poll which hasn't got listed. Not bearing anything on the final result anyways.

Ashwin being voted in now streets ahead of Grum, Laker, and Verity is case in point why putting pacers and spinners in the same poll can lead to inaccurate results.

He has certainly been getting a lot of support, but things might even out as other spinners come into consideration.

Laker, Grimmett and Verity are all getting a lot of votes too in the current poll, probably more than Ashwin. An example being yours above.

But how is that connected to putting pacers and spinners in same poll?
