Start Bangers, but difficult to know what they'll need here. you would write England off chasing 340.

Assume Rashid's injured.

Rashid should have played, especially with England's lads turning up and injuring themselves.

The attack is way too same paced and everyone is right handed. Not a smart choice although bang haven't accelerated yet.

I think we might see relatively lower scores in the day games as teams batting first might just be a bit conservative against the new ball if they are put in.

If Tamim can stay there to the 40th over then Bangladesh will be in commanding position. The others should bat around him. 300 might not be enough still.

Woakes has a side strain then. Puts him out of the tournament then and probably the first couple of tests v SA.

Problem with the BD combination today is that you will have Dullah, Sabbir, Mosaddek, Soumya bowling 10 overs, up against the most explosive batting line up today..and then in case Shakib or Masrafe get whacked which could very well be the case, even 340 would not be enough, and getting 340 here is going to require some seriously good batting

Mosaddek has been surprisingly good at performing a restricting role since they brought him into the side, so I guess they figured he'd offer something similar to what Mehedi would with the ball anyway in these sort of conditions. Obviously they should've just played both and left out of one Kayes/Shabbir but that's way too logical for Bangladesh's selectors.

It's tournament cricket. Runs on the board count. Bangladesh get 320 on the board and they probably win.

They complicated this a bit

Uff hope it's not that serious. Just makes the decision of not playing rashid even more relevant. Tut tut tut.
Well it is on cricinfo he has a side strain. They are usually a month at best so they would be rushing him back for the early tests with no bowling behind him if he was fit which if he has done it properly he won't be.
